What is liposuction?
Liposuction removes stubborn fat deposits through tiny incisions, sculpting areas that resist diet and exercise: abdomen, flanks, thighs, hips, arms, chin. It is a contouring procedure — not a weight-loss method — and honesty about that distinction is where good results begin.
Modern techniques (tumescent, power- or ultrasound-assisted) allow precise shaping with less trauma and smoother recovery.
Are you a good candidate?
The best candidates are close to a stable, healthy weight with firm skin and defined problem areas. Liposuction removes fat; it does not tighten loose skin — if skin laxity is the main issue, the surgeon will tell you and may suggest a tummy tuck instead or in combination.
Significant weight fluctuations after surgery can compromise results, so stability matters.
The process, step by step
After your video consultation and quote, the surgeon marks the treatment areas with you standing, in person, before surgery. The operation takes one to three hours depending on the areas, under local anaesthesia with sedation or general anaesthesia.
You wear a compression garment afterwards — it shapes the result and is non-negotiable. Small stitches or steri-strips close incisions of just a few millimetres.
Recovery
Bruising and swelling are normal for two to three weeks. Most patients walk the same day (walking is encouraged), return to light work within 5–7 days, and wear the compression garment for four to six weeks.
The final contour reveals itself over three to six months as swelling resolves — your free video follow-ups track that progress.
Risks — honestly
Risks include contour irregularities, fluid accumulation (seroma), numbness, infection, and — rarely — more serious complications. Conservative volumes, good technique and wearing your garment properly are your protection.
Why Agadir?
€1,900–2,900 in Agadir versus €3,800–7,000 at home. Gentle walks on the beach from day one, warm air on healing skin, and a surgeon who checks you in person before you fly.
Frequently asked questions
Is liposuction a way to lose weight?
No — and any clinic that sells it that way is not being honest. It reshapes specific areas. Stable weight and healthy habits keep the result.
Will the fat come back?
Removed fat cells do not return, but remaining cells can enlarge with weight gain. Keep your weight stable and the contour stays.
How long do I wear the compression garment?
Usually four to six weeks, day and night at first. It is the cheapest insurance for a smooth result — take it seriously.
Can several areas be treated at once?
Yes, within safe limits. Abdomen plus flanks is a common combination. The surgeon decides the safe total volume for your body.
